About Me

I’m Hayley, and my journey into hypnotherapy has been a personal one.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve turned to hypnotherapy to overcome anxiety, stop smoking, manage my weight, and overcome a fear of flying – eventually going on to skydive from 10,000 feet.

That experience led me to train professionally so I can now support others in making similar positive changes.

FAQs

What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a forward-looking approach that helps you make positive changes by focusing on your goals rather than your past. It combines guided relaxation with practical techniques to support changes in thinking, behaviour, and responses.

It works with the part of the mind responsible for habits and automatic reactions, helping you build more helpful patterns and improve how you think, feel, and respond in everyday situations.

Yes, you remain fully aware and in control throughout. Hypnotherapy is simply a relaxed state of focused attention.

Most people describe it as similar to daydreaming or being deeply relaxed. You can hear everything and are able to respond at any time.

This varies depending on what you’d like support with. Phobias usually take 4 sessions, smoking and vaping is one two-hour session and for anxiety it can be between 6-12 sessions. Solution-focused hypnotherapy is typically short-term, with many people noticing positive changes within a few sessions.

Like any approach, results can vary and we cannot guarantee success, as it depends on your motivation and openness to the process. However, many people find hypnotherapy helpful for reducing anxiety, improving sleep, building confidence and changing habits. I know from my own experience how successful it can be.

The first session is an introduction, where we discuss what you’d like to change and what you want to achieve. I’ll explain how hypnotherapy works in a clear, practical way, so you know what to expect and how the process supports change.

We’ll also outline the steps we’ll take moving forward, giving you a clear idea of how the sessions will be structured and what progress can look like. It’s an opportunity to ask questions, get comfortable with the process, and start focusing on where you want to get to.

Yes, sessions are available both in person and online via platforms such as Zoom. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person sessions, as the process relies on your ability to focus and relax rather than the location.

All you need is a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed, along with a stable internet connection and a device with audio.
